I began Accurate Masonry in 1999 after moving to Denver. Initially my background was in roofing. All of my work was on the older homes and I was receiving many requests to fix chimneys while I was re-roofing homes. So, I hired an old mason to rebuild the chimneys. Suddenly, I became fascinated with masonry and took a real interest in the Historic side of the trade. I found other masons to work under at the same time I was learning through trial and error what worked and what didn't. I have served two formal apprenticeships under different masons one with emphasis in brick laying and the other in stonework. I truly love this trade and never get tired of the work. Each home or property is unique and matching the mortar is always a little challeging.
